Objectives 1, 2, and 3 were met upon completion of the Professional Development Assignment (Twitter) in ED 505, Technology and Education due to the plethora of resources for teachers offered on Twitter. Following various Twitter handles that focus on physical education opened numerous paths for professional development of which I was previously unaware. Tweeters such as @PhysEdGames, @PE4Learning, @PhysEd, @Mr_PhysEd, @pecentral, @Sportime_SPARK, @PEgeeks, @phys_educator, and @SHAPE_America, suppliedinformation on webinars, conferences, websites, articles, games and activities, lesson plans and ideas, and fundraising opportunities for acquiring equipment for my program. Education Tweeters across all subject matter, such as @RMayben9, @edutopia, @USNewsEducation, @NEAToday, @DiscoveryEd, @educationnation, @usedgov, and @educationweek provided insight on other information that would be beneficial to all teachers. This information consisted of resources aimed toward behavior management, classroom management, crisis educators are facing today, education trends, etc. Upon the completion of the requirement of tweeting and retweeting professional development opportunities allowed me to research not only professional development opportunities in my subject area but also in other subjects as well.
